Mr. Wixom’s practice specializes in Asset Based Lending, Banking & Finance and Commercial Real Estate Transactions. His experience is extensive, and over the past two years alone, he has handled transactions with a value in excess of well over 1 Billion Dollars. Mr. Wixom has extensive experience in litigation as well, especially in the areas of banking and commercial law.
In addition to his banking, corporate and commercial law practice, Mr. Wixom recently ended his service as a member of the Board of Regents for the Nevada System of Higher Education, after 11 years, where he served as both the chairman and vice chairman. His responsibilities included overseeing all of Nevada’s public higher education, including 5 community colleges, 2 universities, and a research institute. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Springs Preserve.
He has been selected as one of the 2015 Mountain States Super Lawyers. He was also named by Nevada Business Magazine as one of the Legal Elite 2015: Nevada’s Top Attorneys.

The Nevada Supreme Court, on June 1, 2020, appointed Michael B. Wixom to a three-year term on the State of Nevada Board of Bar Examiners. The 14-member Board writes and grades the Nevada bar examination questions, and oversees the administration of the semi-annual bar examinations. The Board also works closely with the Supreme Court and the Board of Governors for the State Bar of Nevada in formulating rules and procedures for admission to the State Bar of Nevada.
